Peaceful Paleokastritsa

Visit the scenery and architectural wonders of this pearl of the Ionian Sea.

Paleokastritsa is a charming village on the North-West coast of Corfu, just 25km from Corfu Town, the island’s capital. Practice snorkelling and scuba diving in the crystal clear waters, stroll through picturesque olive groves, and enjoy quiet moments in an ancient monastery in this enviable location. A trip to Paleokastritsa wouldn’t be complete without a visit to some of Corfu’s best beaches, where you can relax in the sunshine, or take to the turquoise waters to explore nearby caves by boat.

Agios Spyridon is the main beach of this stunning village, boasting glistening white sands and crystalline waters of the Ionian Sea. You can relax and unwind on daybeds under parasols, rent kayaks or rowboats, or grab a water taxi to reach the more secluded beaches. The combination of water sports, including water skiing, stand-up paddle-board and rental motor boats available at Agia Triada beach, countryside and culture make Paleokastrista the perfect holiday destination for couples, friends, families, and young travellers.

Don't miss visiting Paleokastritsa Monastery, located on a green hill above the beach, about a 20-minute walk away. Admire the monastic architecture and the gorgeous views of the island and the sea. Another path will take you through groves of olive trees and cypresses to the charming village of Lakones, set on the steep hillside overlooking the vibrant coloured bays of Paleokastritsa.

Paleo House is located in this beautiful village, just 30 minutes from the airport, with a great selection of traditional Greek tavernas, restaurants and bars where you can enjoy wonderful cocktails, breath-taking sunsets, and some of the island’s most stunning stretches of coastline.
